Andrea Bocelli Performs in Egypt for the First Time in May

February 21 — Cairo: Renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli is set to perform in Egypt for the first time, with a live concert scheduled for May 26 at the City of Arts and Culture in the New Administrative Capital.

The performance will offer Egyptian audiences a rare opportunity to experience one of the world’s most celebrated opera singers live. While Egypt frequently hosts major international pop performers, appearances by globally recognized opera artists remain less common. The concert will also commemorate Bocelli’s breakthrough album Romanza, originally released in 1997.

Bocelli, widely regarded as a global ambassador of Italian culture, is one of the best-selling classical musicians in history, with more than 90 million records sold worldwide. He has performed in four different languages and is known for blending classical opera with popular music, expanding his appeal across diverse audiences.

Among his most famous works is Con Te Partirò (Time to Say Goodbye), released in 1996 as a duet with Sarah Brightman. The song became one of the best-selling singles of all time, with more than 12 million copies sold.

Concert organizers expect strong attendance from opera fans and music enthusiasts across Egypt and the wider region. Ticket prices begin at EGP 3,000 (approximately USD 63), with 10 seating categories available. Premium seats are priced up to EGP 22,000 (approximately USD 463).

Tickets can be purchased online through Live Nation Middle East, the official concert promoter, and Tickets Marche.
