Egyptian filmmaker Mohamed Diab is set to collaborate with Netflix on a new feature film titled The Note, marking another international project for the acclaimed director.
Known for blending social commentary with suspense-driven storytelling, Diab will direct and co-write the upcoming film, which is expected to combine psychological drama with mystery elements. The filmmaker gained global recognition after directing Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight, becoming one of the first Egyptian directors to lead a major Marvel production. He is also widely known for award-winning Egyptian films including Clash and Cairo 678, both praised for tackling complex social and political themes through character-focused storytelling.
The Note forms part of Netflix’s continued investment in international productions and Arabic-language content aimed at global audiences.
