Control Z Competition by Youth Ministry Calls for Anti-Violance Initiatives

Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports has launched a new initiative titled Control Z, inviting young people to participate with creative ideas and projects aimed at combating violence and promoting positive social behaviour.

The competition encourages youth-led initiatives focused on raising awareness around violence prevention, social responsibility, digital safety, mental health, and community engagement. According to officials, the programme is designed to empower young people to develop solutions that contribute to safer and more supportive environments both online and offline.

The ministry stated that participants will be able to submit projects, campaigns, and awareness concepts addressing different forms of violence, including bullying, cyber harassment, discrimination, and harmful social behaviour affecting young people and local communities.

Officials described the initiative as part of wider efforts to strengthen youth participation in social development and encourage creative approaches to addressing contemporary social challenges.

The programme also aims to support innovative ideas that use digital tools, media, art, and community activities to spread awareness and encourage positive behavioural change among younger generations.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports continues to expand youth-focused programmes and competitions across different sectors as part of broader national efforts to promote civic engagement, innovation, and community development among Egyptian youth.
