February 8 — Cairo: A minor fire broke out on Sunday morning inside one of the caravans at Cairo International Airport, according to a statement released by the Cairo Airport Company.
The company confirmed that civil protection teams responded immediately to the incident, successfully extinguishing the fire using foam suppression equipment followed by cooling measures. Authorities reported that no injuries or material damage resulted from the incident.
Specialists from the forensic laboratory were dispatched to the location to carry out a technical examination and launch an investigation aimed at determining the cause and circumstances surrounding the fire.
Airport sources indicated that the fire originated in one of the offices located near the cargo village area. Fire engines and ambulances arrived promptly and managed to contain the situation quickly.
Officials also confirmed that airport operations were not affected by the incident. All scheduled flights continued to depart and arrive normally, with no disruptions to passengers or airport services.
