Ministry of Social Solidarity launches “Farhet Masr” initiative to support Young Couples

The Ministry of Social Solidarity has launched the “Farhet Masr” initiative under the patronage of Intisar El-Sisi to support young men and women from the most in-need families before and after marriage.

The initiative aims to ease the financial burden of marriage by providing essential household items, alongside psychological and social preparation programs to promote family stability. Eligible beneficiaries include Takaful and Karama recipients, persons with disabilities able to form families, and residents or graduates of care homes.

A dedicated digital platform has been introduced to manage applications transparently, allowing couples to register and track their requests year-round as part of broader state efforts to strengthen social protection and support youth empowerment in Egypt.
