Fuel Prices Increase Across Egypt Effective Tuesday March 10th

Cairo — March 10: Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has announced new price increases for several fuel products and car fueling gas nationwide.

Effective Tuesday, March 10, the price of 95-octane petrol has risen from EGP 21 to EGP 24 per litre, while 92-octane petrol increased from EGP 19.25 to EGP 22.25 per litre. The cost of 80-octane petrol also climbed from EGP 17.75 to EGP 20.75 per litre, and diesel rose from EGP 17.5 to EGP 20.5 per litre.

The government also raised the price of butane cylinders, with the 12.5 kg cylinder increasing from EGP 225 to EGP 275, and the 25 kg cylinder rising from EGP 450 to EGP 550.

Additionally, the price of car fueling gas has been adjusted from EGP 10 to EGP 13 per cubic metre.

According to the ministry, the price changes were introduced in response to exceptional conditions in global energy markets, which have been affected by ongoing geopolitical developments in the Middle East.
